Paul Cox has been the conductor of RYO since Autumn 2006. Paul is also head of strings at Southampton University.
Paul read Music at the University of East Anglia where, as part of the performers’ course, he was able to further his cello studies in London with Chistopher Bunting. Following his graduation, he was awarded a scholarship to the University of Reading, enabling him to complete a Master of Music degree in Performance Studies.
In 1997 Paul set up the Eureka! Foundation and is now its Chairman. The Foundation provides an original way of supporting instrumental teaching and also promotes concerts and raises money for community groups.
